The Conceptual Booths project for Zitec is a series of fully themed work and relaxation pods, conceived as autonomous micro-universes within the office environment. Each booth is designed as a distinct spatial experience with its own visual identity, aimed at stimulating creativity, providing acoustic privacy, and transforming informal breaks or meetings into memorable moments.
The concept departs from the idea that the contemporary workplace must offer more than functionality — it must inspire, surprise, and generate states of mind. The series of booths covers a wide spectrum of atmospheres and themes, from immersion in the ocean depths to cultural identity and psychedelic fantasy, giving users the freedom to choose the environment that best fits their mood and activity.
Scuba Room transports the user to the ocean depths — a rocky cliff face, a school of tropical fish, and a vividly colored reef, framed by sand and sea grass, compose a booth with spectacular visual presence and a calm, hypnotic energy; perforated metal furniture carries the marine theme through to the smallest detail.
The booth inspired by Romanian folk tradition is perhaps the most personal statement of identity in the entire series — a bear or goat mask crafted from natural fur and horns, alongside hand-woven rugs with traditional motifs and a simple wooden stool, recreate the atmosphere of an authentic Romanian village interior, with an exterior wooden frame decorated in traditional geometric patterns. It is a tribute to cultural roots, transposed into a contemporary office space.
Lego is the playful, colorful universe of childhood — intensely yellow walls, a floor scattered with Lego bricks, and vertical red accents running from floor to ceiling create a vibrant, energizing room, ideal for informal brainstorming sessions.
Psihedelic (Alice in Wonderland) is a visual explosion of purple and pink tones, a mural of a caterpillar smoking a hookah amid fantastical mushrooms, and a bright red sofa — a surreal booth designed to break the mold of the ordinary office and stimulate lateral thinking.
The series also includes other equally distinct themes: Disco, with metallic fringe curtains and pink neon; White Rabbit, a small themed bar with beer taps and stylized rabbit portraits; and Cable Car / Star Gate, which alternates between an alpine mountain landscape and the fantasy of a space station overlooking Earth.
Each booth is constructed as a standalone object — with its own structure, curved glazed facade with black frame, fully customized interior finishes, and integrated thematic lighting. The ensemble creates within the Zitec office a map of moods and experiences — a park of micro-worlds that transforms the workplace into a place of surprise, play, and creativity.
The result is a bold and coherent conceptual project that redefines the notion of the office pod and proposes a new relationship between workspace, corporate identity, and human experience.
